About
Eravikulam National Park spread over 97 sq.km and is situated in the Devikulam Taluk. The park is home to the Nilgri tahr. This park was declared as a sanctuary in 1975. This park later declared as a national park in 1978, because of its ecological, faunal, floral, geo-morphological and zoological significance. This park is divided into three regions, the core area, the buffer area and the tourism area. Visitors are not allowed in the core area and buffer area. This place is a heaven for adventure tourists.
Attractions
Anamudi, the height peek, 2695m, in the south India is situated here. Tourists are allowed to go on foot up to Anamudi.

The weather in Eravikulam National Park is pleasant. Summers (April–June) are mild, while winters (November–February) are cool. It experiences heavy southwestern monsoon rains in June–August.
