Lakshadweep is one of the world’stunning tropical islands systems. Lakshadweep has an area of 32sq.km of land spreads over 36 islands. These islands are surrounded by 4200 km of lagoon which is filled with marine wealth.
All these islands are gifted with the beauty of corel reef, sandy beches, unpulluted and clear water. But most of these islands differ in terms of facilities and services which they offered. Driving and water sports are encouraged by few islands and some islands are completely devoted for charm of relaxation and natural enviorment.
In malayalam, Lakshadweep means a hunderd thousand island. There are 36 islands of which 10 are inhabited. They are Agatti, Amini, Andrott, Bitra, Chetlat, Kadamat, Kalpeni, Kavaratti, Killan and Minicoy. People are mostly engaged in fishing and coconut cultivation. The island are virtually cirme free.
