The southernmost state of India has a very long coast line of 910 km having Bay of Bengal on the east and Indian Ocean on the south. Tamil Nadu possesses the southernmost tip of Peninsular India at Kanyakumari. This state is rich in many tourist destinations, most of them being the popular ones in India and abroad. Be it hill stations or beaches, temples or historic monuments, waterfalls or palaces, wildlife sanctuaries or heritage sites. The cuisine and silk of Tamil Nadu are also known worldwide. That’s why the tourism department of the state has chosen the tag line- ‘Enchanting Tamil Nadu’ for its tourism promotion. Proving this to be true, Tamil Nadu holds the crown for attracting the maximum number of foreign tourists in India. When we think about the beaches in Tamil Nadu, the two main ones which come to our mind are Marina Beach in Chennai and Kanyakumari. But there are also a couple of other lovely beaches which delights our mind.
